In a larger context, art, architecture and music are what drives civilizations, and what endures. In a personal context, it is the beauty, comfort and functionality of the architecture we inhabit – our homes –that adds richness and joy to our lives.

These are defined by each individual and household, and it is my life’s work to interpret, design and create the changes that enrich the occupants’ lives and increase the longevity and value of the house itself, now and into the future.

Over the past 25 years, I have learned to envision, plan, prepare, supervise and articulate the design and building process, as part of a well balanced knowledge of the archetype of good design and superior construction practices.

I also have gained a deep understanding of materials and their application, so that challenges met during the construction process are resolved quickly and efficiently.

My love of great architecture brought me to Santa Fe in 2000 to perform a major remodel, which inspired me to design and build my own energy-efficient home.

I became a licensed Qualifying Broker and Buyers Agent for GreenRoads Realty, formerly Go Realty, in 2003 and have helped scores of out-of-state buyers understand the local real estate market, construction methods and idiosyncrasies that constitute Santa Fe style. This too has increased my understanding of the possibilities for remodeling that add comfort, energy efficiency, value and enhanced lifestyle.
